Beige has had its moment. This spring the colours worth wearing are the ones you didn’t see coming: a burgundy that works harder than any neutral, a ballerina pink that isn’t remotely precious, an aquamarine that manages to feel both fresh and grown-up, a dirty green with serious attitude, and a butter yellow so good it makes everything else look tired. Consider this your permission slip to actually have fun getting dressed again.

Bye Bye Beige: The Unexpected Colours for Spring
Beige has had its moment. This spring the colours worth wearing are the ones you didn’t see coming: a burgundy that works harder than any neutral, a ballerina pink that isn’t remotely precious, an aquamarine that manages to feel both fresh and grown-up, a dirty green with serious attitude, and a butter yellow so good it makes everything else look tired. Consider this your permission slip to actually have fun getting dressed again.
Burgundy is a useful colour bridge between your wintery darks and something jollier for summer. We don't always want to jump into brights, so start with rich colours and then add contrasts. Pale blue is a perfect side dish here.

The colour of spring 2026 has to be buttery yellow. It might feel like a summer stretch too far, but think of it as an update on your usual creams and chino beiges, and suddenly it's easier to imagine as a useful basic.
There is no escaping a rich, wholesome green this spring. And why would you avoid it? Green is the perfect foil to pretty much every other accent colour, plus it is easy on most skin tones and will see you through every weather eventuality and well into autumn too.
